NAD+

Also known as Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide
CEVIDENCE

Real biology, unproven bottle. We sell it saying so.

The honest take
This is the most interesting biology in the Formulary and the weakest evidence, and both things are true at once. NAD+ falling with age is not in dispute. Whether a capsule fixes that is very much in dispute: the molecule is large, and most of it is broken down in the gut before it reaches a cell. That is why nearly all serious research uses precursors — nicotinamide riboside, NMN — rather than NAD+ itself. We stock it because the dose is honest and some men want it anyway. We are not going to pretend the science has landed.
What it is
A coenzyme every cell in your body uses to move energy around. It is not exotic — you are full of it right now, and you have less of it than you did at twenty.
How it works
Every cell runs on a shuttle system that carries electrons from the food you eat to the machinery that makes energy. NAD+ is that shuttle. Levels fall steadily across adult life, which is why it became the longevity industry's favourite molecule. The unanswered part is delivery — getting an intact NAD+ molecule from a capsule into a cell is harder than the marketing suggests.
What it does
In the body, it carries electrons through the reactions that turn food into usable energy. What an oral dose does is a separate question, and an open one.
Who it's for
Someone who has read the research, understands it is unsettled, and wants a properly dosed version rather than a cheap one. If you want the best-evidenced product in LONG GAME instead, that is omega-3.
How to use it
500 mg daily with water, taken consistently. There is no timing trick and no loading phase.
What to expect
Nothing you can feel. No stimulant effect, no immediate change. If you are buying a sensation, buy something else.
The research
Grade C. The age-related decline is solidly established; oral supplementation raising tissue levels in humans is not. No health claim for NAD+ is authorised anywhere. Precursor forms have the better trial record.

Read the labelNo authorised health claim exists. Speak to a doctor if you take regular medication.

Evidence grades describe how well an ingredient is studied — A well-supported, C emerging — not a promise of results. Educational, not medical advice. Doses are typical ranges; follow the label on the product.
